SOCIAL BONDING CRICKET MATCH AT PETRAPOLE

Project Name - SAMBANDH

Project “SAMBANDH” of Seva Kendra Calcutta conducted a Social Bonding Cricket match on 24.2.2020 at Petrapole, North 24 Parganas, West Bengal to enhance the bonding between different stakeholders of the transport Industry. Mr.Prabhas Pal, the Secretary of Mahakumar Parivahan Sramik Union and Mr.Shantanu Basu, the Secretary of Bongaon Motor Sramik Welfare Association were the eminent guest present at the event.

The match was conducted between Mr.Prabhas Pal’s team, all dressed up in” Blue and Orange “and Mr.Shantanu Basu's team, dressed up in” Blue and Green”. Team members were from mixed group comprising of drivers, fleet owners, etc. Mr. Basu’s team scored 133 in 11.5 overs and all out. Mr. Pal’s team won the match with total score of 134 and with 7 wickets in 11.4 overs. Mr. Jisa Samardar ( 3 wickets for 25 runs) was awarded with “Best Bowler” and Mr. Soumik Biswas was awarded with” Man of the match” for his contributions of 72 runs and taking 3 wickets. Officer In-charge and Police personnel from Petrapole, North 24 Parganas could not be the part of the social bonding match due to exigency.
