The students of Loreto School, Entally collected Rs. 48, 170 for the Campaign Against Hunger and Disease. Dilkash Afreen and Natasha Annie Francis (both studying in Class 3, Section 1) accompanied their teachers Mrs. Deborah D'silva and Mrs. Tina Basak and handed over this amount collected by all the students of the school to Fr. Franklin Menezes, the Director of Seva Kendra Calcutta. Seva Kendra Calcutta thanks the principal, staff and students of Loreto School, Entally for their generous efforts towards this noble cause.

A new batch of students from Ave Maria University visits Seva Kendra Calcutta

A group of students from Ave Maria University, Florida, USA along with the President of AMU, Mr. Jim Towey visited Seva Kendra Calcutta. With immense joy in their hearts handed over $5000 they had so enthusiasticaly raised in their campus towards helping install photovoltaic solar panels on the roofs of boarding schools for economically disadvantaged children. With solar lighting, the boarding school children will be able to study in the evenings. Seva Kendra Calcutta appreciates and thanks Mr. Towey and all the students and staff of AMU for supporting this cause with selfless generosity.

Project Planning and Management Training Programme held at Seva Kendra Calcutta

A five-day training programme for mid-level managers on "Project Planning and Management Training" was held at Seva Kendra Calcutta from May 12 to May 16, 2014. Fr. Lord Winner from the Claretian congregation was the resource person for this training programme.  The participants were from different NGOs, religious and diocesan congregations.  The participants learnt various aspects in project planning and management.  Seva Kendra Calcutta plans to have more such programmes in the future.
